Business Development Manager

We are seeking a proactive and energetic Business Development Manager, with commercial acumen, to join our friendly team and assist in generating new business opportunities.

Role

We are looking for a BDM who, ideally, has a background in IT and would enjoy the challenges of establishing, promoting and managing new market leads for our IT related services.

Essential skills and attributes

Ideally, candidates will have:

  • Background experience in IT, or sound knowledge and understanding of web systems and related services for the IT sector.
  • Demonstrated ability and/or experience in:

  • developing appropriate sales marketing strategies
  • establishing new business leads and contacts (cold calling or networks)
  • managing new business opportunities
  • sales of IT related solutions to Government, Defence and corporate clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing proposals and quotations (essential).
  • A sound understanding of tender processes and solid experience in writing tender responses.
  • An excellent customer services track record that reflects their experience and skills in identifying client issues and managing relationships at a high level.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) as well as excellent people and negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
